Course Relevance: In our consumer-driven and digitally connected world, trends, opinions and needs in health care can shift quickly. Additionally, employers are concerned with the impact of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and what this means to them and their employees. Today, health care has migrated toward providing a growing number of options to meet the unique needs of a diverse demographic. At the same time, there is a growing focus on wellness and health management programs as well as more aggressive cost control strategies. The key thing that drives these programs is the answer to a few very important questions: “What do people say they need and want out of their health care plans?” coupled with “How can employers afford to provide these programs in today’s economy?” Course Objective: In this presentation, Sandy Ageloff, Health & Benefits Leader at Willis Towers Watson will provide an overview of the results of the Willis Towers Watson Employers Survey on Purchasing Value in Health Care, pointing out key indicators of what the data tells us, strategies employers are using to meet their business objectives and how the Industry can respond to meet the needs indicated from this data.
